Fire extinguishers and fire alarm systems

For a home, a shop or one office floor, start with fire extinguishers. An ABC dry powder extinguisher handles most everyday fires. Add a CO2 extinguisher beside electrical panels and computers, and foam where fuel is stored. A fire blanket in the kitchen and a fire ball above the meter box cover the rest. Bigger buildings need a fire alarm system: detectors, manual pull stations, sounders and strobes, modules, cable and backup batteries for conventional or addressable panels, plus emergency exit lights and a PA system.

Fire pumps, sprinklers and suppression systems

Factories and tall buildings are protected by water. Fire pumps (end suction, horizontal split case and vertical turbine) feed the system, a jockey pump keeps it under pressure, and electric and diesel controllers start them. Control panel spares are in the shop too. The water reaches the fire through sprinklers, valves and pipework: pendent and upright sprinklers, alarm check, deluge and zone control valves, landing valves, hose cabinets, MS pipe and fittings. Where water would do damage, suppression systems take over: FM-200 gas for server rooms, and foam for fuel stores.

Fire rated doors, PPE and fire team equipment

Passive fire protection keeps a fire in the room where it starts: fire rated doors and hardware, rolling shutters, curtains, dampers, collars, sealant and gypsum board, and intumescent paint or cementitious coating for steel. A factory fire team needs its own safety equipment and PPE: fire helmets, fireproof suits, respirator masks, gloves, gum boots, stretchers and lock cutters.

CCTV, computers, electrical equipment and lifts

Under Computers and security you will find Hikvision and Dahua CCTV cameras and complete CCTV systems. Computers, PC parts and network equipment are being added. Electrical and power covers a building's supply from end to end: MCB and MCCB breakers, distribution boards, busbar trunking, transformers, substations, diesel generators, solar power and lightning protection. We also supply lifts and escalators: passenger, cargo and glass lifts.
